An interesting idea...We here at SavageStupidity.Com recently received the following email, which makes a very interesting point - does MichaelSavage.Com (aka PaulRevereSociety.Com) violate the terms of service put in place by their hosting provider, Homestead? After scanning through his site, I think you'd have a hard time making that case, based just on the site's content (at the moment). All the really out there content is in his Newsmax columns (hosted elsewhere), or has been said over the air. If this changes, I'll be sure to put a note here (and elsewhere on the site) to that effect. The best you could do, based on what is there right now, would be to make the argument that hosting this site is bad for business and does not reflect positively on Homestead as a company. If you choose to write them and complain (instructions on how to do so are included below - choose "Racist/Hatred" for type of violation when you get to the complaint form), I would be interested to see how they respond. If they don't respond, well, don't be too disappointed. Remember, no company is required to actually enforce its own "Terms of Service", and they usually only do so when a significant legal liability is perceived, or a clear and umambiguous violation is demonstrable.
From : "Robert Nordberg" <r_nordberg@hotmail.com> Dear Mr. Leavitt, Thanks for your good work. If you have taken a look at www.michaelsavage.com, you will notice that the web request is redirected to http://sites.hsprofessional.com/prs/index.html It appears that http://sites.hsprofessional.com/ is a web building and hosting company (Homestead) used by Savage to support his and the Paul Revere Society web sites. If you take a look at Homestead's member agreement (http://professional.homestead.com/~site/Legal/terms_of_service.ffhtml) it would appear, in my opinion, that Savage/Weiner is not complying with his membership terms. The agreement says:
"With respect to the content on the Member Web Site, Member agrees
not to: Could anyone fail to believe that Savage/Weiner's material is in violation of Item (b)? The Homestead site does have a mechanism (see http://sites.hsprofessional.com/~site/CompanyInfo/contactus.ffhtml ) for reporting member sites felt to be violating their membership agreement. If enough readers who object to Savage/Weiner's material were to contact them (Homestead), they may take some action with him (e.g., refuse to host his site). Robert Nordberg
