There's surprisingly little about Michael Savage and "The Savage Nation" to be found on the web, but we think we've found most of it. We've also included a few selected items covering Liberal or Left-oriented Talk Radio. If you have further suggestions, send us email at links@savagestupidity.com, and we'll take a look. See also our Media Coverage page, which is a the single most comprehensive database of articles and other media on Savage (outside of whatever collection he maintains personally). I also find it amusing that NewsMax spells his name as "Micheal Savage" in a couple of places, as do his fans.
Email Michael Savage directly (his email address is as amateurish as his web site design and hosting - which doesn't even use his domain names... he can't even manage to get email set up so that he can receive it at "paulreveresociety.org", instead, he has to use Yahoo Mail). Note: mail sent to this address will often bounce due to a full mailbox.

Write Michael Savage a letter (what a concept!), and let him know what you think.

The following sites have linked prominently to SavageStupidity and otherwise expressed their support (if I missed your site, email me and I'll add you! I don't know why I didn't think of this earlier).
BushFlash.com - anti-Flash animations and other good stuff! Great anti-Savage rant as of 6/4/2003.
The Christopher Ryan's Real Audio Sounds page has a sample of Michael, on April 20th, 1999... satirically parodying news announcements about the success of the Kosovo bombings. This is directly accessible, but I encourage you to go directly to the page, then click on the link, as there are over 20 megabytes of interesting samples there.
highlights (or lowlights): "Sacred Turd World nation", "homosexualized nation where the men are afraid [of animal rights activists]", "Rosie O'Dumbells". You can listen to him via TalkRadioNetwork.com from 2-5 p.m. EDT (11 a.m. to 2 p.m. PDT) and LIVE, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. EDT (4-7 p.m. PDT) Monday thru Friday.
Tired of all the conservative rhetoric on the airwaves? I am. Here are some unconservative listening experiences. If your favorite host isn't listed, or if you want to comment on any of the shows, let me know.--Carolyn Kay, MakeThemAccountable.com - NEW 10/11/2002
Provocative, up-to-the-minute, alive and witty, KCRW's weekly confrontation over politics, policy and popular culture proves those with impeccable credentials needn't lack personality.
Distributes Peter Werbe, Mike Malloy, and Steven Sack (the employee's lawyer), among others. Progressive, even radically progressive, talk radio. What a concept. Reaches almost 100 stations (as opposed to Savage's 300+ stations).
Listen to liberal talk radio hosts over the Internet, on your computer. A comprehensive list of all eleven Bush-bashing talk show hosts broadcast over the Internet (I'm sure I could come up with a much longer list if I were searching for conservative talk show hosts).
a mobilization alert for activists from Democrats.com... "If the increasingly aggressive right-wing bias of the commercial news media bothers you as much as it does us, please take action! And make sure you are on our activist list so you will get future alerts! As they say in the radio business, be sure to stay tuned!"
"...a cooperative project by progressive American citizens. We are dismayed at the pro-government, pro-corporate bias shown by American media, and we intend to do something about it. Many American share our views on how the media promotes a pro-war, pro-big corporation agenda, and our numbers are growing every day." New12/28/2002
detailed analysis and info about Savage's reptilian trashing of Elizabeth Smart, the little girl in Utah who was kidnaped at gunpoint from her bed, and repeatedly abused until regaining her freedom - quotes, transcripts, links
... this is brilliant: "Not that such a failure to grasp the concept of political pluralism should be particularly surprising, coming from someone who, presumably, sympathizes with the 14 or so National Review-reading, Dade County ballot-counter-intimidating, Buchanan-voting, Eminem-listening, nicotine-stinking, Michael Savage-worshiping, Hummer-driving, CNN-boycotting, Ann Coulter-spouting fools who converged in Washington last weekend to protest the Nation-readers, etc." (comment made in reference to PJ O'Rourke)
[Savage's idea of "balance" and "far to the right" obviously differ from that of most human beings on this planet. -Ed.]
[...]
Savage began using the label "Compassionate Conservative" in 1994 when he marketed the first of many hugely successful Bay Area conventions bearing that name. Savage has consistently drawn sold-out audiences to hear him live. For Savage, these words describe a "firewall of balance" that limits how far to the right his opinions go.
The most incredibly atrociously designed web site you've ever seen... my cat could do a better job (her name is Pixel, by the way)! This actually points to his Paul Revere Society web site, which is how the majority of links to it are made. Note: his site is a "dot.com" web site, not a "dot.org"... in fact, paulreveresociety.org is owned by some random domain name speculator, it appears. And they've trademarked the domain name (I doubt it) - why hasn't Michael challenged this? I guess he doesn't care, and he's completely ignorant of the longstanding tradition that non-commercial sites use the "dot.org" TLD (top level domain), and not the "dot.com" one.

Michael Sues CA Regents after they fail to appoint him Dean of the School of Journalism at the University of California, Berkeley
"Patrick J. Manshardt [is] representing top-rated San Francisco Bay area talk show host Michael Savage of KSFO in San Francisco against the Regents of the University of California. Mr. Savage applied for a position of Dean of the School of Journalism. Despite having two masters degrees, a Ph.D. from U.C. Berkeley, and hundreds of hours of experience in broadcast journalism, Mr. Savage was not even asked for an interview. The University eventually hired a person without a Ph.D. for the position. This is in essence a political patronage case where Mr. Savage has been discriminated against for his well known conservative political views. (Savage v. Regents of the University of California, Alameda County Superior Court)." Patrick is also known as the "the Attorney General of the Savage Nation."

Fall 2001 Column by Rick Marianetti on right wing radio's obsessive hatred of liberals, "liberal media" bias, and the lack of balance caused by the failure to enforce the Fairness Doctrine.
